GOING ON A BRING A GIFT!
|
Hello Ken,
I see that you have a thorough list of computer
recyclers. I've been operating a website for a number of years and want to
start offering a service that I believe seekers of used computers would be
interested in. I started using the thin client approach from the Linux Thin
Client Project (LTSP) and I would like to help mission groups put together
thin client computer labs so that they can take the labs with them on their
trips. I am offering this as a free service. I am also very much planning also
to load much eduction software so that the mission groups can continue the
teaching even after they return. Would you please place the following ad with
your computer refurbishers page? Thank you in advance. You may contact me at
robert@missionarynet.org if you
have any questions.
Sincerely

Going On A Mission Trip?
Consider bringing a computer lab with you!
This free software (K12ltsp) lets you run computer labs from diskless workstations. You can use old PC's, even 486s.They don't need software nor hard drives. This system is perfect for schools because it is easy to install and requires little maintenance. It is reliable and immune to malicious tampering and viruses. All applications run on the terminal server and will run as fast on the old PCs as they do on the server. If your missions team would be willing to seek donations of the used computers for the lab, do the easy install of the software on one computer, and deliver them on your mission trip then I will provide free, complete technical assistance (including live help) to install the Linux k12ltsp software on your server; complete technical assistance to install and use Moodle, Interact, and K12LTSP educational software; and continued personal help in the administration of the computer labs (through VNC) after it is delivered.

Your inward willingness to obey God is the way to know God's will for your life! Develop this by daily studying God's word and spending time with Him. God has the blueprints of our lives, not us. We are to rejoice in times of trials. Don't regret your past mistakes, just learn from them and realize that God uses them to as stepping stones to mold you according to His purpose for you and to build your character. God is a covenant God. Psalms 25:9 He leads the humble into what is right. John 7:17 If anyone has the willingness to do God's will, he will have discernment. Only His sheep know His voice. Those that are His sheep, her and obey him, not the world. For the world does not know His ways or His voice. So next time you go through the valley (i.e. hard times), remember that God is adding stepping stones to the ones you already have and is shaping you into the person that can carry out His will for you and fell blessed. |
